Desiccant Dehumidification Technology
The DD1200 uses adsorption-based desiccant technology to remove moisture from process air. Air is drawn into the unit and passed over a rotating wheel impregnated with silica gel. Moisture is absorbed by the silica gel before the air leaves the dehumidifier as warm, dry air.
As the silica gel wheel rotates, a separate regeneration air stream passes through a portion of the wheel. The regeneration air is heated before passing over the wheel, releasing the absorbed moisture. The resulting hot, wet air is then exhausted outside the area being dried.
Three Drying Preferences
An electronic thermostat and fully variable EC fans allow the user to select the desired drying preference. The DD1200 provides High Extraction, High Efficiency, and Deep Drying settings for different moisture-control requirements.
