Product did reactivate 30 years black mastic approximately 90 percent over 20 hours of setting time after applying. Product did not release any noxious fumes and actually had a pleasant smell. It was easily applied with a pump sprayer for very accurate coverage.Grinding the concrete surface appears to be a better option in this situation.

Second order of 5 gallon bucket for under 800 sq feet. Biggest Turlock to using this is wait and hour and scrub the whole floor then wait another hour and repeat. This stuff is a little to expensive for what you get and not the best/clear instructions even on YouTube. Some mastic just refuses to be removed.

Beanie-do mastic remover and degreaser worked very well on our concrete floor covered with black mastic. We did it twice just because of the black color which was very messy so the second time we saw the spots much better that needed some more attention. Love the product and especially that it is non toxic and odorless.
We did 3000 sq ft.

Great product. Follow the i structions and the 50year old mastic comes right up. We even pushed it farther than instructed by pushing the used product onto the next days section of work(we were working on a 4000 Square foot room). It softened up all of it and made easy work of the next day by picking up the old then applying a quick thin coat and a quick mop.

Definitely removes old black mastic from a 70 year old basement floor but it was a messy procedure. I had to use at least 2 applications to remove most of the mastic. I used about 5 gal for a 225 sq ft floor. I am struggling now to degrease the floor after the 2 applications. I have to find a good degreaser to remove the residue left after applications.

This product worked exceptionally well to loosen black mastic. 5 gallons cleaned up about 130 ft.². I used it in two stages, the first to get the majority loosened and removed, and then a second time to clean the Remaining stubborn areas.

This product works very well and does not have a strong odor. I would advise to work smaller areas if you are older or slower because some of the spots seamed to dry out before we had a chance to scrape them. We waited about 2 hrs and the directions say 1-2 hours. You might start earlier than I did. It is definitely a product I would recommend and buy again.

Great product. Had stubborn mastic on our concrete basement floor, poured this down, spread it with a straw brush and let it sit overnight. Mastic came off easily with a floor squeegee. Must use the degreaser suggested to clean off the mastic remover, but this was a great way to get rid of the mastic without using a floor sander.

First time using this product. I used this product on a 351 square foot basement floor which had black mastic as adhesive. As directed I applied this remover and patiently waited until a small area was ready to be removed. I did not think a rubber squeegee would be an effective tool to remove the mastic, however I was able to remove everything and cleaned up with the greaser without any effort. I now have a smaller area that I need to start and have already purchased this product for the second time and have been recommending this to friends. The only tip I could offer to people who may been experiencing some issues is to wait a little longer before scrapping. My mastic was on the floor from 1954, some places were pretty thick, however everything came up with little effort. Highly recommended. Thank you Blue Bear...

I did get the black, asbestos laden mastic off our concrete, but it took more than the application rates shown on the can or advised by the tech help. Once we removed the old tiles, there was a lot of mastic residue, and the concrete (put down in 1948) was not smooth finished, so it was embedded thoroughly. The mastic had no strong chemical odor, although we did use fans as a precautionary measure. I think it's a good product and would use it again, but hope to never again have to.

I thought it was a little expensive at first, but I saved a lot on labor. My sister, 69 years old and myself 67, stripped about 500 square feet of mastic. I purchased a 5 gallon pail and still have about 2 gallons left. I put it on with a 3/4” nap roller, let it set about 2 hours. Kathleen used a 10” “blue steel” drywall tool screwclamped to a broom handle and I went behind her with a hard bristle brush. We used a squeegee to corral the sludge and most of the liquid. It was very slippery. A small pressure washer cleaned up the little bit remaining on the surface and it went down the drain. It was still slippery as snot until I mixed maybe 1/4 gallon of the degreaser that they recommend and swung a mop around like a sailer on the deck of a ship. No longer afraid of falling, we admired our clean floor.
I should mention that I first rented a floor scrubber with a course pad. I did not use any Blue Bear Bean-a-Doo. When I turned the scrubber on in the middle of the room, it grabbed the dry mastic and drug me to the side of the room and threw me up against the wall. After another 5 or 6 times being slammed against the wall, I gave up and returned the monster to the rental store.
After I was finished, I didn’t think it was expensive and I still have some left.

The product works good. If you dont use enough you'll just have a mess on your hands. Put it down, wait a couple of hrs for it to soften up then go back over and do a quick scrub to break things up. Add more if its not really wet looking. Come back around 10hrs later with an absorbant. Brush it back and forth till there is only a light residue left. Dont rush this part. Its not hard, just time consuming. Follow up with the degreaser, and a mop with a little more degreaser mixed in the water, very diluted. Admire your work. That part is mandatory!

The best! We had a real mess from a water leak. Had mastic tile under the carpet. Product melted the mastic and allowed for a very easy clean up. The degreaser was used after to take up any left over mastic. The ceramic tile now has a better chance adhering to the cement. The google videos were really helpful. Thanks for having this product that over performs!

While this product is great for smooth level floors this was a nightmare for me. I am currently renovating a old 1950’s home and my concrete floor is rough and has low points which made using this product extremely difficult and the end result was a sticky tar pit that was only able to be fixed by renting a mastic removing tool from Home Depot tool rental which honestly I wish I just did initially instead of wasting over $500 on this product. If I had to do it again I wouldn’t purchase this product and instead would just rent the tool from Home Depot! This was a very frustrating experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone!

It did make it easier to clean but the only mess afterwards was time consuming to clean. My husband and I had 5400 square feet of concrete to clean carpet adhesive off. I still had to scrape quite a bit. I'd say order a small bottle first to see how it works. It doesn't dissolve all adhesives.

Wow this stuff is amazing . I had about a 800 sq ft of 40 plus year old black mastic to remove . This stuff did the trick in just 2 hrs this stuff liquified the mastic a squeeged it into a puddle and kitty littered and shoveled it into a garbage can . I applied a second coat just to get some tough spots and to make sure I got all of it . I then used the degreaser and washed the concrete and shopvacuumed it . I have since stained and Seles the concrete it looks amazing thanks to this product I saved hours of back breaking work and not having to get this black mastic into the air just in case it had asbestos. Great product

This stuff works great and I love the fact that it's natural. I tried Goof-OFF earlier for this same job (getting rid of black mastic under vinyl tiles in my basement) and recognized quickly that I was literally using poison to try and fix my problem. So much better to have a soy-based product. Thanks, UnoClean for making the shopping process so easy and transparent. I had a helpful call with a service rep as well.

Well,,, it does work but it is the worst project I have ever done before. This 3 bedroom home built in 1961 had 8" vinyl tiles every where over black mastic. It was all covered by carpet or tile. I got a price to remove it for $1800.00 and thought I could do it for that. I bought a walk behind grinder and 16 grit discs thinking that would work but they just gummed up. So I tried this product. I coated each area twice cleaning up twice and degreasing twice. Then only I could grind the residue clean. Labor intense! Now I have the 3 bedrooms left so I have to get more. It'll cost me another $400.00 and that is for the supplies only. Small grinder for edges, shop vac, scrubbing brush, squeegee, scraper, 4- 50lb bags of absorbent etc.

In the world of solvents, this is a miracle product.
Basically turns the old black mastic into a liquid. Easy to apply; pleasant odor with no noxious chemicals; does not evaporate, unlike other solvents.
Apply with yard sprayer; let sit 3-4 hours; squeegee into pools; use a shop vac to remove. The degreaser that comes with it does an excellent job removing any residue. Unoclean had the best prices and shipped instantly.

Works extremely well. Once applied to the floor, its low volatility keeps mastic in liquid form almost indefinitely. That way, it can be easily vacuumed with a wet/dry vac and disposed of. Pleasant smell, no harmful fumes, leaves a great smell after the job.
