How many crystals do I need to add to water to create a disinfectant/sanitizer that will kill 99.999% of organisms normally found on a non-porous hard surface?
The EPA registered dilution rate to obtain a minimum of 100ppm is 1/2 tsp of crystals (scoops provided in each jar) per gallon of water. Also includdes a 1/8 tsp scoop to get the same 100ppm in a 32 fl. oz. spray bottle.
How can Green Klean Bleach Crystals be used?
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. This product may be used in accordance with the directions for use as a microbiocide/microbiostat, disinfectant, sanitizer, fungicide and algaecide in the following use sites: indoor food, indoor non-food, indoor medical and indoor residential.
Where it can be used in compliance with the EPA registration:
- Residential/commercial non-porous hard surfaces (floors, walls, fixtures & equipment)
- All non-porous food contact and non-food contact surfaces, equipment and utensils.
- Indoor medical, specifically for disinfection of body fluid spills.
Are crystals more expensive than liquid bleach?
Green Klean Bleach Crystals are competitively priced. A gallon of cleaning solution mixed using liquid bleach will cost about the same as a gallon of solution created using crystals.
Can I mix a bleach solution made from crystals with other cleaning chemicals?
Do not mix any bleach solution with other household chemicals. Bleach can react with other chemicals in a way that could result in injuries. Dangerous fumes could result.
Can I use crystals in my laundry?
Yes. Green Klean Bleach Crystals are an excellent source of chlorine to brighten and whiten clothes. Do not use crystals with non-color fast clothes. This could cause damage or fading.
